Banana Bread Recipe

Another homemade dish that tastes superb is banana bread. Its a very simple dish that is easy to make and is enjoyed by everybody. Children can have it as breakfast while same goes with the adults. It’s such a simple dish that you can make it yourself and not wait for mothers!

Here are the ingredients that we need to make it.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups of flour
  • 1 teaspoon of baking soda
  • ¼ teaspoon of salt
  • ½ cup butter
  • ¾ cup brown sugar
  • 2 eggs beaten
  • 2 mashed overripe bananas
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ teaspoon banana flavouring
  • ¼ teaspoon of cinnamon

Preparation

Now we start with pre heating the oven up to 350 degrees F. Also very lightly we grease the loaf pan with butter or cooking oil.

Now take a bowl. Add the flour, baking soda and salt in the bowl. Combine it altogether.  Again take a separate bowl. Add the brown sugar and the ½ cup of butter to it. Mix it well. Now break few eggs and beat it. Also mash the bananas and make it into a paste. Now add all this egg and mashed bananas into the butter/sugar mixture and nicely blend it. Add this mixture into the bowl with flour also with the vanilla extract. Mix everything well and make the batter moist.

Now add this batter into the loaf pan. Bake it inside the preheated oven for about an hour or 65 minutes depending on what type of oven you are using. Insert a toothpick in the center to check if the bread has come out clean.

After it’s done let it cools for a few minutes. Invert the entire bread into a plate and cut it into slices.

You can also add different toppling in the batter and to give a variety of tastes. There cherries, chocolate chips, slices of fruits, dry fruits like cashew, almonds, walnut, etc. It can be an evening snack with tea or bread for children.
