  • 4 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 1 jalapeno, ribs and seeds removed
  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 1 medium sweet Spanish onion
  • 1 red bell pepper, ribs and seeds removed
  • Sea salt


  1. Roughly chop the onion and peppers, and add to the bowl of a food processor along with the garlic
  2. Pulse until very finely chopped.In a medium saucepan, heat 1/4 cup of the oil
  3. Slowly saute the onion mixture over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the vegetables are soft and most of the liquid has evaporated, about 10 minutes
  4. Add the remaining olive oil and cook for another 5 minutes
  5. Set aside.
